Dawn Cameron was appointed Public Works Director in December 2019. She brings more than 30 years of experience in public works, transportation planning, and public sector administrative and policy work. Dawn joined the City of Mountain View in 2017, serving as the Assistant Public Works Director for Transportation and Business Services Division. Prior to this, Dawn was a Deputy Director for Santa Clara County Roads and Airports, a planner and program manager for Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority, and a transportation planning consultant. She holds a Master in Public Administration degree from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies with an emphasis on urban planning from San Jose State University.
