In an effort to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the Police Department lobby currently has modified hours. We will be open every day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with only essential services being provided by appointment. We kindly ask you call our Records Division for information on all other services. They can be reached at 650-903-6344.

Please note, we are only doing fingerprinting for City of Mountain View employees at this time. 

What are essential services?

• Vehicle releases (Note: Please call the Records unit at (650) 903-6344 to be scheduled for this type of service. Only the registered owner legal owner or authorized representative with a valid driver’s license, case number, appropriate documentation & current vehicle registration can request a vehicle release.) 
• Sex offender/ gang/ arson registration
• Property release with a prior appointment
• Dropping off medication and/ or needles utilized to distribute medication
• Dropping off/ picking up civilian or criminal subpoenas
