Reserve Group Study Rooms Online
The building is closed to the public and study rooms are currently not available to book.
The Mountain View Public Library provides 10 group study rooms located on the second floor of the Library, for small groups to use for purposes of group study, discussions, projects, and for tutoring or similar activities. Reservations are made online through https://mountainview.gov/studyrooms.
You will need your Mountain View Public Library card number (account in good standing), the PIN, and a valid email address to book a group study room.
- Rooms are available for groups of 2 to 6 people.
- Groups are limited to two hours use per day.
- You can make reservations up to 3 days in advance.
- Users need to accept the Library’s Group Study and Program Use Policy to use the study rooms.
- If you are not in your room within 15 minutes of the start time, your booking will be cancelled.
BOOKING A ROOM
- Go to https://mountainview.gov/studyrooms
- Select Capacity from the top drop-down menu and select the number of people in your group.
- Click on an Available green space on the calendar grid to select room number and time. Bookings are done in 30-minute time slots. However, bookings default to one-hour. Example: when clicking on the 10:30 am time slot, it will default to schedule the booking from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.
- Adjust the length of the booking using the pull down menu below the calendar grid to select the end time of your booking.
- Click Submit Times to place booking.
- Enter your Library card number and PIN.
- Click Continue to accept the terms of service of the Group Study and Program Room Use Policy and Study Room Guidelines.
- If you don’t have an email address on your library account, enter an email address to receive a confirmation of your booking. Confirm the information is correct and then click Submit Booking.
- You will receive a confirmation email of the booking. The confirmation email will also have a link in case you need to cancel your booking. Please note the time and room number of your booking.
- You may proceed directly to the booked room on the second floor of the Library at your reserved date and time. If you need assistance locating the room, please ask at the Information Desk on the second floor of the Library. Leave the door open and inform staff at the Information Desk when you are done using the study room.
