The City will continue to provide shower resources for the affected households through Wednesday, May 20.

Rengstorff Park Aquatics Center

• Tuesday, May 19: 7:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m., 4:30–8:30 p.m.
• Wednesday, May 20: 7:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m., 6:30–8:30 p.m.

Meal and Incidental Expenses Reimbursement

The City is currently collecting information from affected residents in order to provide reimbursement for meal and incidental expenses on a per diem basis, in accordance with federal reimbursement rates ($92 per day per resident). A form is being developed and will be shared with these residents soon.

Emergency Water Supplies for Residents

Bottled water delivery for these 21 homes will continue through Wednesday, May 27, with extra days provided to ensure a smooth household transition. If residents are ready to discontinue water delivery sooner, they should call Water World at 408-641-5440 to cancel the service before placing all empty bottles out for pickup. If residents place bottles out without canceling, Water World will continue to exchange empty for new bottles until Wednesday, May 27.

Scheduling Your Delivery: Deliveries require someone to be present. To coordinate a specific time or provide delivery instructions, please call Water World at 408-641-5440.

Staying Supplied: Exchanging empties is easy! Just place your empty jugs outside your front door, and Water World will swap them for full ones. You can also call Water World to notify them that you are ready for a refill.

Water Bottle Recycling

The City is aware that recycling bins may not be big enough to accommodate all the water bottles being used during this situation.

Residents can put out extra bags next to their recycling bins on their normal pick-up day. While paper bags, cardboard boxes, or reusable bins are preferred, plastic bags can be used as long as there is a note on them that says “recycle.”

Residents can also drop off their plastic bottles at the Mountain View Recycling Center, 935 Terra Bella Ave.
