How Mediation Works
Mediators are neutral third parties who facilitate open, respectful communication to help individuals or groups resolve their conflicts. They do not offer legal advice or make decisions; instead, they guide participants toward mutually acceptable agreements.
Common Mediation Topics Include:
- Tenant–Landlord Disputes: Security deposits, rent repayment, lease terminations, and repairs
- Neighbor Conflicts: Noise, barking dogs, property concerns
- Consumer Disputes: Problems with services, merchants, or purchases
- Workplace Issues: Contract disputes, unpaid wages, communication breakdowns
- Roommate Conflicts: Moving out, shared expenses, daily responsibilities
