BMR Program
The Below-Market-Rate (BMR) Housing Program helps address the high cost of housing in Mountain View by increasing the diversity and supply of affordable housing through the provision of mixed-income residential developments that integrate both market-rate and affordable units. The basic objective of the BMR Program is the provision of on-site affordable rental or ownership units within a new housing development.

The recorded informational call which will review information about the Below Market Rate program in the City of Mountain View. The City of Mountain View works with a third-party administrator, HouseKeys, for the BMR program. All eligible households are encouraged to apply. Preferences will be applied for households who live and work within the city limits of the City of Mountain View.

Nonresidential Housing Impact Fee
In addition to BMR requirements for residential development, the City collects a housing impact fee for all new nonresidential development (net new square feet) in the City to provide funding for affordable housing development in the City.
