Preparations Underway for New Utility Billing System

A new utility billing system (UBS) is in the works for the City’s utility customers.

The new system will enhance service to the City’s utility account holders by:

• Providing more timely and accurate information about account holder’s water use
• Improving the reliability, efficiency, and flexibility of the City's billing operations
• Supporting the City’s future technology enhancements
• Strengthening data protection

The new UBS system will replace the City's aging 20-year-old platform. The system is scheduled to go live in the coming months.

Getting Ready for Our New UBS

To help with the changeover, the City will notify utility account holders directly via their utility bills when the new UBS is closer to going live.

During the transition period, the City will provide customer assistance by phone, online, and in person at designated times at Mountain View City Hall, 500 Castro St., and the Mountain View Senior Center, 266 Escuela Ave.
