Sponsored by the City of Mountain View, Teen Month is a city-wide celebration dedicated to recognizing, supporting, and celebrating the teens in our community. Join us for a City Council proclamation, teen-only discounts at local businesses, teen-only activities, teen-led community events, and more, all planned and led by the Youth Advisory Committee (YAC)!

Simple Sewing & Clothing Repair

Thursday, April 2 | 5:30-7 p.m.

Learn the essential life skill of basic clothing repair! A loose button or a small rip doesn't have to ruin your favorite shirt. Teens will get practical experience with needle and thread to handle quick fixes, small repairs, and basic garment maintenance.

No experience is needed—just come ready to learn a useful skill and get creative while making your wardrobe last longer. Each pre-registered teen will receive a small basic sewing kit to take home.

A gallery night of 6th-12th grade artwork, animations, and photography. Free boba tea and mochi waffles will be served. Open to the public. Come support local talented teens! We welcome paintings, drawings, digital artwork, animation, short film, photography, sculpture, ceramics, pottery, fabric, fashion design, and other types of three-dimensional artwork. Submissions are due by Friday, April 3.

 

Teen Open Mic Night 

Friday, April 17| 6-7:30 p.m.

6th – 12th graders will perform music, poetry, comedy, dance, and hidden talents. Free and open to the public. Come support local talented teens!

Showcase your talents at Open Mic Night! Singers, dancers, musicians, poets, comedians – all welcome. Solo or group acts encouraged. Submissions are due by Wednesday, April 15.
