Rengstorff Park Dual Striped Pickleball Program

Dual-Striped Pickleball Program
On June 29, 2022, the Parks and Recreation Commission directed staff to implement a pilot program to dual-stripe Courts 3 and 4 at the Rengstorff Park Tennis Courts, allowing shared use between tennis and pickleball during designated times. The Dual-Striped Pickleball Program will continue to be re-evaluated in coordination with the Pickleball Court Preliminary Study and Design Project.

New Hours of Play – Effective July 7, 2025:
Beginning Monday, July 7, there will be new dual court hours at Rengstorff Park. City staff worked closely with the Mountain View Tennis Club, Mountain View Tennis, and Mountain View Pickleball Club and reviewed historic and anticipated future use to develop the following schedule:
 
Court Schedule:
Monday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., 6 – 8 p.m., 8 – 9 p.m.*
Tuesday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., 6 – 8 p.m., 8 – 9 p.m.*
Wednesday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Thursday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., 6 – 8 p.m., 8 – 9 p.m.*
Friday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. (except on Mountain View Tennis Club tournament dates)
Sunday: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., 6 – 8 p.m., 8 – 9 p.m.*
 
*8 – 9 p.m. is reserved for first-come, first-served use and will be operated as a pilot program. City staff will continue to evaluate its effectiveness.

Note: Hours not listed above are dedicated to tennis. Six (6) rollaway pickleball nets are available on Courts 3 and 4 during playable hours. Please roll nets back to designated locations after use.
 
Pickleball play on dual-striped courts is only allowed during the times listed above. Playing outside of these designated hours is not permitted. This schedule ensures shared use of the courts and helps maintain a positive experience for all park users.

Rengstorff Park Dedicated Pickleball Courts

Rengstorff Park has a total of three dedicated pickleball courts: two netted courts and one lined court that needs a portable net. Rengstorff Park pickleball courts are available on a first come, first served basis and are open from sunrise to sunset. 

Adult Drop-In Sports – Pickleball (Indoor)

Adult drop-in pickleball is available at Mountain View Sports Pavilion on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 9 p.m. and Sundays from 1:30 to 7:30 p.m. for Mountain View residents and employees of Mountain View businesses.

On Sundays from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., three courts will be available on the main gym floor and two courts will be available in the Auxiliary Room. On Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 9 p.m. and Sundays from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., two courts will be available for play in the Auxiliary Room. The court lines in the Auxiliary Room are temporary and will be replaced as needed.

An activity pass or day pass is required to attend. Activity passes ($15 for 10 visits, $30 for 20 visits) or day passes ($3 per visit) are available for purchase at Mountain View Sports Pavilion during program hours. Passes can be purchased with check or exact cash. Please bring your own pickleball paddles, as available pickleball paddles are limited. Indoor pickleballs will be provided. All state and local health and safety protocol will be in effect. 

Drop-In Pickleball will be closed on all observed City holidays and during Graham Middle School events. Check back often for closure updates.
