Rengstorff Park Aquatics Center is offering a Summer Splash Package, perfect for small festivities during scheduled recreation swim times.

Includes: 
Two-hour reservation in the Sycamore multi-purpose room. The room can be booked 2-hours within 1:30-6:30 p.m. during scheduled recreation swim.
Access to Recreation Swim 
Access to a (15-20 inch) mini-refrigerator (perfect for holding small cakes)
Limited to 30 people max (non-swimmers included)

3. How can I reserve the package? 

Submit an application at least two weeks prior to the rental date to Aquatics@mountainview.gov.

4. Can I show up early to set up and stay later to clean up? 

Early entrances and later stays are not permitted. All setup and clean up, including decorations must be completed during package hours.  

5. Can I cancel my reservation? 

Yes, but we require a two weeks’ notice. Please email Aquatics@mountainview.gov to cancel your reservation. 

6. Are non-swimmers included in the count? 

Yes, 30 is the maximum number of participants per reservation.

A Head Lifeguard is included with all rentals and additional Lifeguards are required depending on group size. In general, the ratio of lifeguard to patron is roughly 1:15. However, the number of lifeguards required for your rental will be determined based on the event type, age of patrons in the facility, and overall event size. The total number of lifeguards will be determined with review of your permit by the Aquatics Coordinator.  

For Professional Aquatic User groups (for example: USA Swimming, Master’s Swimming, USA Coast Guard or of similar affiliate groups), who want to provide their own Lifeguards must provide the following:  

• A minimum of two (2) American Red Cross certified or of relevant greater medical background will be utilized at all aquatic facility rentals. Submission of American Red Cross Lifeguard certifications of individuals on site or of relevant greater medical background 

The following insurance standards are required for pool or lane rentals. Insurance is NOT required for the Summer Splash Package.

Commercial General Liability Insurance with a minimum of $1,000,000 per occurrence and a general aggregate minimum of $2,000,000. City of Mountain View must be listed as the certificate holder using 500 Castro Street, Mountain View, CA 94041 as the certificate holder. 

Additional Insured Endorsement on the Commercial General Liability Insurance that states "The City of Mountain View, its officers, officials, employees and volunteers are additionally insured". The Additional Endorsement must be a separate document than the certificate of insurance. 

No glass, large knives, weapons, or alcohol is allowed in the facility at any time. Items will be asked to be removed from the facility immediately.  

Food and drink are allowed in the facility, on the pool deck and grass area only.  

US Coast Guard approved lifejackets are allowed in the pool and must be checked by one of the lifeguards on shift the day of the pool rental. No other flotation devices will be approved. A parent must accompany the child in the water and be within arm’s reach of them.

Small toys that do not obstruct the view of the lifeguard are allowed. 

All individuals at the facility must abide by any rules given by the on-duty lifeguards. Lifeguards may establish rules they feel necessary and have the right to dismiss an individual from the facility if needed.  

Any damage or vandalism to the facility is the responsibility of the RENTER. 

 RENTER is not authorized to use this facility for profit of their own or any organization of which they are affiliated with outside of the listed permit.  

A set of pool rules and waiver agreement will be sent to the RENTER prior to the pool rental, and they are expected to provide a copy to those expected to attend the pool rental prior to the day of the pool rental. 

Any amendments to the original permit should be requested at least 30 days prior to the permit date. Amendments requested less than 30 days prior to the permit date may not be guaranteed.  

There are no refunds for event cancellations on the day of the rental. 

All cancellations and amendments must be submitted in written notification such as letter request or email. Voicemails for cancellations and amendments will not be approved.
