The Parks Division is always working on new projects to expand and improve the City of Mountain View’s community. While the City has an outstanding park system, its park and open space needs are changing and will continue to do so in response to changing circumstances.

Joint Use Agreement Proposed to the Mountain View Whisman School District

In accordance with the direction provided by the Mountain View City Council at the September 12, 2023, city council meeting, City staff has modified the proposed Joint Use Agreement between the Mountain View Whisman School District and the City to address the issues (i.e. indemnification, Civic Center Act compliance, acknowledgement of City partnership, etc.) discussed at the meeting. This document has been transmitted to the District for its review.

Magical Bridge Playground - Shade Sails

You asked! We listened! Shade sails are coming soon to the Magical Bridge Playground at Rengstorff Park. The shade sails will be added to three areas: the tot zone, picnic zone, and slide zone. Work is scheduled to take place from October 13 through December 31, 2025. During this period, the playground will undergo intermittent full and partial closures.
