Mountain View Debuts Second New Park This Fall

Evandale Park will open to the public on Friday, November 13 at 4 p.m. Evandale Park is a 0.25 acre project, located at Evandale Avenue at Piazza Drive, that features space-themed play equipment and green open space. The space theme was requested by the Mountain View community to reflect the park’s proximity to NASA and Moffett Field. To support social distancing, there are many ways residents can experience the park virtually, including a Virtual Grand Opening Ceremony.

To experience Evandale Park:

• Watch the Virtual Grand Opening Ceremony live on City of Mountain View – City Hall Facebook page (facebook.com/mountainviewcityhall) at approx. 3:15 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 13; and

• Visit Evandale Park when it officially opens after 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13.

Due to restrictions set by the County of Santa Clara and the State of California, members of the public are unable to attend the Virtual Grand Opening Ceremony. Please wait until after 4 p.m. to visit the park. Additionally, play safe & wear a mask! Remember to please wash hands with soap and water before and after playing (or use hand sanitizer); don’t share toys/equipment with people outside your family; avoid crowded playgrounds and help children keep their distance; adults should keep 6 feet apart; and do not go to the park if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.
