Mountain View officers are looking to speak with witnesses or view any security footage in connection with a suspicious death that occurred in late February.
On Feb. 21 around 7:25 p.m., Mountain View firefighters and Mountain View officers responded to Escuela Avenue at El Camino Real for reports of a medical emergency with a woman lying down in the road. The woman was transported to an area hospital for treatment, but unfortunately later passed away.
The identity of the victim is not being released by the Mountain View Police Department. The woman is described as being Caucasian, in her 70s, wearing layers of clothing and pulling a suitcase. She was also carry a bag at the time she was found and transported to the hospital. It also appears she was walking southbound on Escuela Avenue from Latham Street.
The victim was known to have walked by businesses, including 7-Eleven and Cost Plus World Market, sometime prior to the incident.
We are specifically looking for any witnesses or video that may have seen or captured footage of the victim between 7:10 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 21.
