We are just one week away from the fifth annual National Night Out, and we couldn't be more excited to see you all out at Rengstorff Park! The event, held on Tuesday, Aug. 6, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., will feature food, fun, a dunk tank, and more.
At this year's event, we also will have a special donation opportunity.
Community Cycles of California (CCOC) will be joining us this year at National Night Out, where they will be accepting bicycle donations that will help low income families, homeless individuals, veterans, and other disadvantaged populations. CCOC and MVPD have been partnering together for nearly two years, and over 250 unclaimed bicycles have been donated to CCOC.
CCOC currently employs multiple Mountain View homeless individuals and helps numerous others throughout the County. Bring your unwanted bicycles, in any condition, to National Night Out on August 6th. For more information on Community Cycles of California, check out their website at: https://www.communitycyclesca.org/
If you have a bicycle that you want to donate and cannot make it to National Night Out, feel free to drop it off to Sergeant Wahed Magee at MVPD (1000 Villa Street, Mountain View).
See you soon, Mountain View!
