MVPD looking to identify man who tried to pull down woman's shorts

Mountain View police are looking to identify a man who attempted to pull a woman's shorts down while she was walking on Diericx Drive on Monday afternoon. 

Around 12:40 p.m. on June 3, the woman, a 40-year-old Mountain View resident, stated she was walking eastbound on Diericx Drive near Franklin Avenue when an unknown suspect ran up behind her and attempted to pull her shorts down. The woman screamed and the suspect ran away northbound on Franklin Avenue. 

The suspect, according to the victim, appeared to be a young, white male adult. He was wearing a black baseball cap, a black and gray horizontal striped shirt, black shorts, and black shoes. He was between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet tall. 

When officers responded to the scene, they conducted an extensive area search, but were unable to find the suspect.
