With the onset of warmer weather and longer days, we're on the cusp of a very busy summer! Over the next several weeks, there will be several events in and around Mountain View that may impact traffic ingress and egress in certain areas.
Below is a list of events over the next two weeks to let you know where they are and where you may see impacts from traffic:
The A la Carte Festival returns to downtown. The festival will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Please be advised that there will be street closures on Castro Street from Evelyn Street to Church Street during the event.
Please also note that you may see an increase in traffic in the downtown area as folks head in to celebrate Cinco de Mayo on Sunday. If you are planning to head to the downtown area, and if you plan on having a drink or two, please, designate a sober driver, utilize ride-share services to get to and from home safely, use public transit, or utilize a taxi service.
The Google I/O annual conference returns to Shoreline Amphitheatre. Please expect an increase in traffic in and around Shoreline Boulevard, Highway 101 and Highway 85 between May 6 and May 9 from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Please note, there are no street closures scheduled for this event. That being said, again, expect heavy traffic in the North Bayshore area.
The Irish Festival will be coming to town next Saturday and Sunday. The downtown area will host the festival from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Streets will be closed on Hope Street from Villa Street to Dana Street.
Thank you all in advance for your patience. We will update you if anything changes.
