A man in his 60s was hit and killed tonight along El Camino Real near Yuba Drive.
Around 8:49 p.m., officers responded to the 100 block of East El Camino Real for reports of a vehicle versus pedestrian collision. When officers arrived, they learned that a car heading west on El Camino Real near Yuba Drive struck a pedestrian who had allegedly stepped off of the sidewalk into the roadway.
Despite first aid and CPR efforts by first responders, the man was unfortunately pronounced deceased. The driver of the vehicle has remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators. Westbound El Camino Real between Yuba Drive and Highway 237 will remain closed for the next several hours while our traffic team investigates the incident and clears the scene.
