MVPD seeking help to identify stranger who tried to kiss young girl

Mountain View detectives are looking to identify a stranger who approached a young girl on her way home from school last week and tried to kiss her.

On Sept. 5 around 4 p.m., two 11-year-old Mountain View girls were walking home along the 1900 block of Montecito Avenue when they were approached by two Hispanic men. One of the young girls was holding a box of food that she was taking home to sell as part of a fundraising effort. One of the men turned to the girl and asked if he could purchase some of the food items. After he purchased the item, he asked if he could kiss the girl.
