Mountain View, we need your help identifying a trio of theft suspects who stole someone's credit cards and made some major purchases on them.
On the evening of March 30, a Redwood City man was eating at a restaurant on the 900 block of El Camino Real. After eating his meal, he reached into his jacket pocket to pay for dinner. At that time, he realized that his credit cards that had been inside were missing.
The next day, the man contacted us to report that over $5,000 in fraudulent charges were made to his various credit cards, all but one occurring at the Target located on Showers Drive. Our officers went to the store to see if footage showed any suspects in the time frame in which the purchases were made. We learned that three suspects, all men, had used the victim's credit cards to make various purchases on electronics and other items.
The first suspect is described as a white adult man between 50 and 60 years old, between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 11 inches with a heavy build, a beard and white and brown hair. He wore glasses, a blue polo shirt and dark colored pants.
The second suspect is described as a white or Hispanic adult man in his late 20s, roughly 5 feet 5 inches tall and 140 pounds. He was wearing a gray hat, a light colored shirt and green and gray shorts.
The third suspect is described as a white or Hispanic adult man in his late 30s or early 40s, roughly 6 feet tall and 240 pounds. He was wearing a blue jacket, a pink shirt, salmon-colored shorts, brown shoes and had sunglasses on top of his hat.
If you recognize any of the three men, please contact us at 650-903-6344 and ask to speak with Det. Frank Rivas.
