Car stolen out of neighboring city spotted, woman arrested

A Union City woman was arrested last night after she was spotted driving a stolen vehicle near Rock Street in Mountain View.

Around 11 pm, one of our officers was on patrol on Rengstorff Avenue when he spotted a vehicle that is often known to be stolen -- a 90s Honda Accord -- pulling out of a nearby driveway. Given the late hour, our officer decided to follow the vehicle and during a check learned that the car had been stolen out of San Jose on Tuesday, July 4.

The driver of the car, identified as 27-year-old Sabreena Sickles, pulled into a parking lot on Rock Street and our officer also pulled over and had her step out of the car. During the course of our investigation, we learned Sickles was also in possession of methamphetamine, a methamphetamine pipe and a key typically used to get into cars so that they can be easily driven (this is not the same as the actual key to the vehicle).

Sickles was subsequently arrested for possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a shaved key and possession of stolen property. She was then transported to the Santa Clara County Jail.
