It's almost here! Tomorrow, many of us in Mountain View will be getting ready to watch the annual evening fireworks at Shoreline Amphitheatre At Mountain View. We wanted to take a moment to post a few reminders about the festivities, traffic, closed areas and other general safety tips to ensure you have the best Fourth of July possible.
For those who plan on visiting Shoreline Amphitheatre, please note the following:
-- Fireworks are prohibited both at the amphitheater and within City limits. In fact, fireworks are illegal in most of the county, and there are steep fines if you are caught setting fireworks off. See our post on our social media pages for more on why fireworks are illegal in Mountain View.
-- Alcohol consumption is also not allowed in or around Shoreline Amphitheatre.
-- Neighbors in the area can expect some traffic delays as people make their way to and from Shoreline between 5 pm and 11 pm.
-- Once the show has concluded at Shoreline, those leaving the venue can expect some delays out of the North Bayshore and Shoreline Amphitheatre areas. Please note, Shoreline Park and its trails will remain open to bicycles and pedestrians.
Also, please note that there will be “No Parking – Tow Away” signs posted on the following streets July 4:
-- Terminal Boulevard
-- San Antonio Road, north of Highway 101
And finally, the following streets will be closed to vehicle traffic after 5 pm tomorrow:
-- San Antonio Road, north of Casey Avenue
-- Terminal Boulevard (Closed all day)
