FREE COVID-19 Testing Sites

  • Visit sccFreeTest.org
  • Find a hospital, clinic, or community testing site closest to you and make an appointment.
  • Testing is:
    • 100% covered by health insurance
    • Safe and confidential
    • Free
  • Testing does not:
    • Affect immigration status
    • Require a doctor's note
    • Require insurance
  • All frontline workers who regularly interact with members of the public are highly encouraged to get tested once a month, including grocery, restaurant, healthcare, construction, transit, public safety, and other employees.
  • All residents with symptoms, and anyone without symptoms who has been exposed to someone who was confirmed to have COVID-19, should also be tested.             
  • Drive-thru Testing Sites are available to the public 7 days a week. Appointments are required for this drive-thru testing sites and these can be made online through sccfreetest.org or by calling (888) 334-1000. The drive-thru testing sites are at four existing County Health System locations:
    • 1325 East Calaveras Blvd., Milpitas, CA 95035 (location subject to change)
    • 18550 De Paul Dr., Morgan Hill, CA 95037
    • 777 E Santa Clara St., San Jose, CA 95112
    • 1993 McKee Rd., San Jose, CA 95116
  • The tests offered are viral detection tests, which diagnose a person who currently has the infection. Read about the difference between viral detection tests and serology tests here.
  • Volunteer to be a contact tracer.

Small Business Action Plan
  • The Small Business Action Plan provides recommendations for policies and resources that can reinforce and strengthen the foundation of small businesses and build greater capacity over time.
  • The longer-term goal is to build resilience and provide small businesses with flexible tools that will help them weather the impacts from the next economic downturn and a constantly changing marketplace.
  • Several focus groups, interviews and surveys informed the development of the Small Business Action Plan, with a focus on small brick and mortar businesses that were hardest hit by the COVID-19 Pandemic. 
Small Landlord Relief Program
  • Starting May 1, 2020, eligible landlords of Mountain View rental properties can apply for a loan of up to $10,000, with 0% interest, no fees or collateral, and up to a 1-year term.
