Library cards are free to all California residents. Anyone age 13 and older may apply for a free eLibrary card by filling out the online application. Begin using your new eLibrary number to access online and streaming resources in our Digital Library.
We offer three library card types to meet your needs:

Children 12 and under may obtain a library card in person with a parent or a guardian. Children 13 and older will need to provide their photo identification to obtain a card.
Visit the Library with photo ID if you need a replacement card.
Library cardholders must abide by the City of Mountain View Library Card and Borrowing Policy.
