Firefighters responded to reports of a fire coming from a multi-family residence. The heat from a cooking mishap caused the sprinkler system to activate. Firefighters restored the sprinkler system before turning the facility over to building maintenance to finish repairs.

On Tuesday, June 28, the Mountain View Fire Department hosted a live-action joint gas safety exercise, coordinated by Pacific Gas and Electric. The exercise simulated true-to-life scenarios first responders often encounter, including a ruptured gas line and a fire in a 5-story multi-occupancy residential building.
