We welcome diverse views and voices and are open to working with you to find the play that you will excited to direct. To get your search started, we have compiled a list of plays that are meant to be a sample of the potential options. If you are interested in a particular story or theme that you do not find represented, we encourage you to suggest your own One-Act script for the Festival. You can also reach out to the Performing Arts Committee at erin.brewster@mountainview.gov, and we can assist you in finding a play that is right for you. Here are the instructions on how to submit your own One-Act script for approval.

OR

Submit a One-Act script for Approval: Potential directors are encouraged to submit a one-act script of their choosing for review by the Performing Arts Committee (PAC). If you choose this option, please submit your application and review request by September 6 to erin.brewster@mountainview.gov and jenn@mvcpa.com.

PAC review consists of making sure proposed scripts are good fits for the festival and includes (but is not limited to): length of the plays, number and variety of roles, and required props and scenery; (these will not be provided).  In most cases, PAC and its advisors will be able to help directors adapt performance material for the festival; however, we reserve the right to recommend applicants propose alternative plays. Recent productions included plays from The Good Doctor by Neil Simon and Collective Dating by V.B. Leghorn.
