1001 N. Shoreline Boulevard

In June 2017, Sares Regis submitted an application requesting a General Plan Map Amendment from General Industrial to Mixed-Used Center, a Zoning Map Amendment from ML (Limited Industrial) and MM (General Industrial) Districts to a P (Planned Community) District, and a Planned Community Permit, Development Review Permit, and Heritage Tree Removal Permit on a 7.81-acre site to construct:

  • a new, 7-story residential structure with approximately 3,000 square feet of ground-floor retail, two levels of podium parking, and 203 apartment units (Block A);
  • a new, 7-story residential structure with two levels of podium parking and 100 condominium units (Block B);
  • a new 6-level office parking garage adjacent to the existing 4-story office building to remain (Block B); and
  • removal of 23 Heritage trees.

The project is located on the northeast corner of North Shoreline Boulevard and Terra Bella Avenue in the ML (Limited Industrial) and MM (General Industrial) districts.

Public Meetings

This project is tentatively scheduled to be discussed at the following public hearing:

  • City Council Public Hearing on June 30, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. The City Council will consider a final decision on the project, taking into consideration the EPC's recommendation for approval on the project from their May 6, 2020 public hearing. All members of the City Council will participate in the meeting via video conference with no physical meeting location. To email comments to the City Council ahead of the meeting, email city.council@mountainview.gov. Instructions on participating in the web conference meeting with oral public input will be included on the posted agenda the Friday prior to the meeting.

Environmental Review

As Lead Agency, the City of Mountain View will prepare an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the project in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). A Notice of Preparation was released to gather input on the scope and content of the environmental information to be addressed in the EIR, for which responses were received by October 15, 2018. The Notice of Availability of the Public Draft EIR was circulated online for public comment and review for 45 days until November 12, 2019. The City has prepared a Final EIR with responses to comments, which can be viewed online
