Levi's Stadium Parking Pilot Program

Levi’s Stadium is encouraging the use of public transit for all game days and special events.  The increased dependence on public transportation could impact downtown Mountain View and the surrounding residential neighborhoods due to anticipated use of Mountain View’s Transit Center. The City has implemented a stadium event parking pilot program to provide available parking for residents, businesses and visitors, and stadium patrons in downtown and the surrounding neighborhoods.  The program also includes the temporary move of the Mountain View Farmers' Market on stadium event Sundays

2016-17 Program Updates

On June 7, 2016 City Council renewed the parking pilot program for another year (See Item 4.1 of the June 7, 2016 Agenda).  The same residential parking permit boundaries with the same parking time restrictions will be in place on 49er home game days(see below for a list of program dates).  City staff are in the process of updating the street signage with the new dates, preparing for a distribution of the new residential parking permits (including guidelines and map), and updating the program website.  The permits will be mailed to residents the week of July 18. Additional permits can be requested through the Community Development Department and will be available beginning July 25.

However, the paid parking component will not be implemented.  Based upon last year’s permit sales, the demand was not enough to justify a paid parking program and the Transit Center parking lot continues to have available space.   Staff will coordinate with the JPB, VTA and CalTrain to ensure stadium patrons park in the Transit Center parking lot.  Meanwhile, the Farmers’ Market will continue their temporary location at Parking Lot 12 (California Street at Bryant Street) on Sunday stadium event days.
