Council Vacancy

The Mountain View City Council decided at its Jan. 5 special meeting to move forward with an appointment to fill the vacant seat left by the departure of former Councilmember Sally J. Lieber. Lieber resigned from the City Council following her election to the California State Board of Equalization in the November 2022 general election. Her resignation was effective as of Dec. 30, 2022.

The City of Mountain View accepted applications from qualified registered voters for a term from the date of appointment until a successor is installed at the first meeting in January following the November 5, 2024 General Municipal Election.
