Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee (B/PAC)

The City of Mountain View Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee (B/PAC) was established to address a variety of issues associated with promoting a safe and positive environment for bicyclists and pedestrians in Mountain View including transportation, safety and access. The Committee consists of five members.

The general functions of the Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee include:

  • Promote the development and maintenance of the City's bikeway and pedestrian facilities,

  • Promote walking and bicycling as alternative means of transportation,

  • Ensure sensitivity to bicycle and pedestrian issues in the design and implementation of public works projects impacting cyclists and pedestrians, and

  • Propose, review and prioritize bicycle and pedestrian projects for annual Transportation Development Act funding.

During Santa Clara County's Public Health Order closure, the Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee continues to meet on the last Wednesday of every month, except for the months of May, July and December (unless otherwise posted) at 6:30 p.m., however the body meets via Zoom video conference.  See the current B/PAC agenda posted on the Legistar page for dial-in information.  Once the Public Health Order has been lifted, the B/PAC will once again meet in-person at:

Plaza Conference Room
City Hall, 2nd Floor
500 Castro St.
Mountain View, CA 94041
