On Sunday, January 5th at 4:16:30 AM Mountain View Communications received a 911 call reporting a vehicle on fire inside a commercial building located at 57 East Evelyn Avenue.
Units were dispatched at 4:16:46 AM and arrived on scene at 4:22:15 AM. Units arrived to find a fully involved vehicle fire inside an auto repair shop. Firefighters completed extinguishment of the flames with an aggressive interior fire attack, confirming no further extension into the building, and overhauled the area to ensure full extinguishment.
The fire was confirmed to be extinguished and the all clear was given at 4:34:04 AM. Mountain View Fire Department’s prompt extinguishment of this fire saved the auto repair shop from the blaze.
There were no injuries or fatalities as a result of the fire.
Estimated damage to the contents and structure is $300,000. The precise cause of the fire is currently being investigated.
