Thursday Night Live in Mountain View is Back for 2010!

Mountain View, California —  The City of Mountain View and the Central Business Association (CBA) will be sponsoring Thursday Night Live for a return engagement (in its fourth year).  Every other Thursday in July and August of 2010, visit Castro Street for Family-fun, live music, exhibits, the Farmer's Market and more! 

Thursday Night Live — The events include live music and various attractions in the Downtown that offers a lively and diverse mix of opportunities with almost every restaurant choice imaginable, unique retail shopping, and innovative businesses that highlight the best of Mountain View.   There will be many family attractions including the Farmers Market, classic and antique car shows, activities for kids, expanded outdoor dining, public interest displays, art, and much more.

Event Details:

This year’s Thursday Night Live series will occur between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on July 8, July 22, August 5, and August 19, 2010.

  • Castro Street will be closed between Mercy Street (cross traffic will be permitted) and Evelyn Avenue between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. for set-up, events, and wrap-up.
  • VTA buses and employee shuttles serving the Transit Center and Mountain View Downtown will be re-routed for the afternoons and evenings of Thursday Night Live events.

Summer Concert Series — The 2010 Thursday Night Live events willcoincide with the equally popular City of Mountain View Summer Concert Series, and all four Thursday Night Live events will have live music at Castro and Dana Streets. The bands playing this year are:

July 8th – The Sun Kings

July 22nd – Finding Stella

August 5th – The Shanks

August 19th – The Spazmatics
