(Mountain View, Calif.)—The City of Mountain View’s Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) is proud to present Century Cinemas 16 Theater with the 2018 Teen Friendly Business Award. YAC launched a survey in Fall 2017 to solicit nominations for the award, which received more than 600 votes from teens in Mountain View over the span of three months. Businesses were nominated as “teen friendly” based on the environment and atmosphere they project, the customer service directed at teens, and the overall feeling a teen has to return. Century Cinemas 16 was the business that received the most nominations and positive evaluations.
“Century 16 was chosen because of their respectfulness toward Mountain View teens,” said YAC member Amelia Rowe. “They have given so many amazing experiences to youth”.
The YAC presented a plaque and “teen friendly business” window display to Century Cinemas 16 in mid-March. For more information about the Youth Advisory Committee, visit www.MountainView.gov /YAC, call (650) 903-6331 or email to yac@mountainview.gov.
