The City of Mountain View is piloting an AI translation service during public meetings in Council Chambers at Mountain View City Hall.

The Wordly system provides real-time translation and captions during meetings. The public can follow along in their preferred language by reading on their own device or listening with a headset.Wordly is now available for the following public meetings:

• City Council
• Environmental Planning Commission
• Rental Housing Committee

In addition to AI translation for over 60 different languages, in-person interpretation services remain available in Spanish and Chinese for City Council meetings upon request. Requests for in-person interpretation must be submitted to the City Clerk’s Office no later than 5:00 p.m. two business days before the meeting by phone at 650-903-6304 or by email at City.Clerk@mountainview.gov.
