The City of Mountain View will host its first State of the City on Wednesday, May 21, 5-7 p.m., in Redwood Hall at the Mountain View Community Center, 201 S. Rengstorff Ave.
The free civic event is open to the public. RSVP here to reserve your free ticket.
With a theme of “Building the Mountain View of Tomorrow,” the 2025 event will showcase recent City accomplishments and initiatives that advance the City’s strategic priorities.
Mayor Ellen Kamei and City Manager Kimbra McCarthy will also share updates on the City’s financial outlook; efforts to advance housing, sustainability, and active transportation; and actions that support Mountain View being a “Community for All.”

5 p.m.: Doors open
5:15-6:15 p.m.: Reception with dinner service and City resource tables
6:15–7 p.m.: Program
Limited parking is available at the Mountain View Community Center and Senior Center. Attendees are encouraged to walk, bike, carpool, or use public transit.
Interpretation services in Spanish and Chinese will be provided for those attending in person. Child care for children (ages 7 and older) will be available.
The State of the City will also be streamed live on the City’s YouTube channel, YouTube.com/MountainViewGov.
