Approved Uses

The State of California has determined that recycled water can safely be used for a variety of non-potable uses. The table below shows which uses are allowed for each of the four levels of treatment for recycled water. Mountain View's recycled water meets the highest treatment level (disinfected tertiary-treatment), highlighted below in dark purple.
