Leader-in-Training Program

2017 LIT Program

The Leader-in-Training (LIT) is a Summer Volunteer Program for students 13-17 years old.

LITs will assist Aquatic staff and Recreation Leaders with summer programs and help lead activities, games, sports, crafts, and field trips to various locations. This is an opportunity for teens to gain valuable on-the-job experience, skills and knowledge to prepare for their first real job.

LIT positions are available in the following programs:

  • Recreation Day Camps
  • Deer Hollow Farm Wilderness Camps
  • Aquatic Programs

For detailed information about each program area and mandatory training dates*, please review the 2017 LIT Application Packet.

*Training dates are mandatory for all LITs accepted into the program. Failure to attend all trainings will disqualify an LIT from volunteering during the summer. Review the Application Packet for training dates prior to applying to ensure your availability for training.
