Theatre in the Park

Peninsula Youth Theatre and the City of MounĀ­tain View present FREE children’s theatre in the park all summer long on the Center’s outdoor ParkStage (located adjacent to Pioneer Park). You’ll see fairy tales and other children’s stories—a different 45-minute production each week performed by the children from Peninsula Youth Theatre’s “Theatre in the Park” summer camp program. Bring the kids, a picnic dinner and a blanket to sit on for a fun way to end the week for the whole family.

June 23: Hansel and Gretel

Hansel and Gretel make their way through the spooky forest, find a candy cottage and take on a witch!

June 30: Leilani: A Hawaiian Fairy Tale

Island adventures abound in this funny and charming twist on the classic Cinderella story


July 7: Charlotte’s Web

One small spider saves a “terrific” pig named Wilbur in this charming play based on E.B White’s classic book.

July 14: Witches, Britches, Rings and Things
A group of quirky witches celebrate their retirement by reminiscing about their many famous adventures.

July 21: On the Tip of My Tongue

A hysterical mystery adventure featuring characters from some of your favorite books: Dorothy, Snow White, and even Cruella Deville!

July 28: Pinocchio
A little wooden boy is brought to life and goes on a perilous quest to become a real boy.

August 4: The Humor Games

When Katskills Wintergreen takes a pie in the face for her little sister Dim, she enters herself into the Humor Games, a comedy battle to the death. Her knack for impressions is all that stands between her and failure in this hilarious twist on the Hunger Games.


August 11: Sleeping Beauty

A funny take on the classic tale of a princess who sleeps for 100 years, and the princes who try to rescue her.
