North Bayshore Precise Plan Update - Residential Study

On February 3, 2015, the City Council directed city staff to amend the North Bayshore Precise Plan to include residential land uses. This process is anticipated to take approximately 2 years and will include opportunities for public participation. This Precise Plan update comes after the adoption of the North Bayshore Precise Plan in November 2014 and completion of the Bonus FAR application review in May 2015.

Background Information

  • General Plan Amendment - On June 16, 2015, the City Council adopted a General Plan Amendment to the City's 2030 General Plan to allow residential uses in the North Bayshore area (Meeting Agenda - Item 6.5).
  • Scope of Work for Residential Study - On April 14, 2015, the City Council reviewed the scope of work for studying residential uses in the North Bayshore area (Meeting Agenda - Item 7.1).
  • Identify Residential Areas - On February 3, 2015, the City Council identified study areas for residential uses in the North Bayshore area (Meeting Agenda - Item 4.1).
