Charleston East

In May 2015, Google Inc. submitted an  application to construct a 2-level, 595,000 sq. ft. office building and the removal of approximately 160 trees, 100 of which are heritage trees, on an 18.6-acre project site. This project is located in the North Bayshore Precise Plan area.  

The following are preliminary project plans under review by the City:

Public Meetings

This project will be discussed at the following tentatively scheduled public meeting:

  • Zoning Administrator Public Hearing on February 8, 2017 at 4 p.m. in the Plaza Conference Room on the 2nd floor of City Hall. Meeting Agenda and Materials are available online, including Project Plans.
  • Tentative City Council Public Hearing on March 7, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers on the 2nd floor of City Hall. Meeting Agenda and materials will be posted when available.
