Water Conservation Takes Top Prize in MV Apps Challenge

(Mountain View, Calif.) — The top prizewinner of the 2015 Mountain View Apps Challenge is AAF Consultants. The winning team, led by Dr. Aamir and Saima Farooqui, will receive $2,000 for coming up with the idea for a device and app that monitors water use, allows water waste reporting and provides tips on how to conserve more water. The second place team, led by Michael Chiu, will receive $1,000 for presenting the MyCity app idea that aggregates news about the city, displays utility information and allows users to report issues to the city from their phones.
