Mountain View Police Arrest Sixth Suspect in Double Homicide Shooting of a Brother and Sister
On Sept. 2, 2008, at 9:00PM, Mountain View Police Department detectives arrested a sixth murder suspect in the June 28, 2008, double homicide shooting of Omar Aquino and Maria Teresa Sanchez-Aquino.

On June 28, 2008, Mountain View police officers responded to the 1900 block of Plymouth St. to investigate reports of shots fired in the area.  Officers found a home with an open door and discovered Omar Aquino and Maria Teresa Sanchez-Aquino dead from gunshot wounds.  Aquino and Sanchez-Aquino were brother and sister.  Sanchez-Aquino’s eight year-old son was asleep in a bedroom at the time of the murders and was unharmed.

On Sept. 2, 2008, MVPD detectives located wanted murder suspect Eric Williams, 22, a resident of Union City.  He was arrested without incident in Union City on an outstanding warrant for two counts of murder and one count of conspiracy to commit murder.

Mountain View Police are still looking for two additional suspects in this case: Kenneth Thomas, 20, and an unnamed 17 year-old juvenile.  Kenneth Thomas is wanted for two counts of murder and one count of conspiracy.  The female juvenile is wanted for one count of conspiracy to commit murder.  Five other suspects have already been arrested in connection with this crime.
