| | | There are many sub-genres within the mystery field - historicals, amateur sleuths, police procedurals, for example. One of the newer ones is culinary mysteries. Hard-core mystery readers, and some writers, don't consider them "mysteries" at all. However, culinary mysteries, while considered "cozies," are proving very popular with readers. Most are series but there are a few stand-alone anthologies that appear at the end of this list. Titles are usually puns and the cover art, clever and fun. |
