What can I request from LINK+? Only books listed as available in LINK+ may be requested. While reference books are searchable, they are not available for borrowing. DVDs, CDs, and videos are not available through Link+. When you place a request for a book on Link+, this is counted as a library hold. You may only have a total of 15 holds at any given time. Where do I find LINK+? LINK+ is available while searching the Mountain View Public Library catalog Click on the Search LINK+ button at the top of the search result screen. If the book is found at the first library, it could be ready for pickup in about 4 days. If the book is checked out or missing, it may take longer. Where do I pick up LINK+ books? - Where do I return LINK+ books? LINK+ books are held at the Circulation Desk in the Mountain View Public Library. The books must also be returned to the Mountain View Public Library. How do I check the status of my request? Go to the View Your Library Record function in the library catalog. How can I cancel a LINK+ request? A LINK+ request can be cancelled in the View Your Library Record option under holds. If the book has a Requested status it may be cancelled. If the item is In Transit or Recv'd the request may not be cancelled. How do I know when the book has arrived? You will be notified. Your can also check your library circulation record. When a book's hold status is listed as Link+ RECVD, the book is available for pickup at the Circulation Desk. How long will the book be held for pickup? The book will remain at the Circulation Desk for 7 days. If not picked up by then, the book will be returned to the lending library. How long can I keep the book? The loan period is 21 days. When can I renew a LINK+ book? You must wait until 3 days before the due date before you can request renewal. How long is the renewal period? Two weeks from the date of renewal. How do I renew a LINK+ book? You may either request renewal at the Mountain View Public Library circulation desk or online. How do I renew a LINK+ book online? - In the Library's online catalog, click on "View Your Library Record."

- Click on the "Renew Selected Items" button. The system will NOT automatically renew the items for you but will instead request a renewal from the lending library. You need to check back later to see if the renewal has been approved. The status for the item(s) will indicate one of the following: RENEW PENDING means you should check back later; NEW DUE DATE means the renewal has been approved; RENEWAL DENIED means that the renewal was NOT approved and you must return the book(s) by the original due date.
