As outlined in City Council Policy H-7, field use permits are required for exclusive field use for any ongoing league, tournament, camp, clinic, or organized use of athletic fields maintained or managed by the City. First priority will be assigned to City-sponsored and Mtn View-Whisman School District leagues/activities. Second priority will be granted to recognized Mountain View Youth Sports Organizations. Third priority will be given to unrecognized youth sports organizations and then to adult sports groups. Commercial activities for private profit are prohibited per Municipal Code Sec 38.13.
Applications for athletic field rentals are accepted three times a year for priority consideration. Application deadlines are on December 31st for use March-July; June 30th for use August-December; and October 31st for use of a limited number of fields mid December-February.
Applications will be accepted year round and must be submitted at least two weeks prior to the event date(s). These applications will not be considered for priority assignments if submitted after the deadline.

FIELD USER MEETINGS
Generally at the beginning of each season the City will hold a meeting for Field User Groups who regularly use the City's athletic fields. A representative from each organization is required to attend. Mountain View community members are also welcome attend. Mountain View residents and businesses interested in field reservations or the Field User Group meetings should call (650) 903-6404.
These reservations are for youth sport groups, adult sport groups, and those who are not participating in the division's adult leagues but wish to use City fields. Below is a list of organizations that currently use Mountain View fields, the Fall 2012 athletic field assignment chart (this chart does not include 1 time rentals/private rentals, school use or maintenance projects), and the athletic field reservation application.
