City-Wide Garage Sale

Community Yard Sale

Don’t miss the opportunity to shop or sell gently used items at two events in May, rain or shine. The Citywide Garage Sale is held at homes throughout Mountain View, while the Community Yard Sale is held at Rengstorff Park. These events are held on different weekends and are designed to keep reusable items out of the landfill and conserve our natural resources. One good use deserves another!

City-Wide Garage Sale (Homes) will be held on May 1, 2010 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at homes throughout Mountain View. (Sellers may choose to be open Sunday too; or may start or end earlier than the advertised time.)  The map and list of items for sale will be available the day before the event online or at City Hall (outside main entrance), as well as in the Mountain View Voice newspaper. Shoppers can search online here for specific items or by category, street, neighborhood, sale days, block/multi-family sales and print out a personalized shopping list. Since Mountain View enjoys free Google WiFI (wireless) access in most areas of the community, shoppers with internet-enabled cell phones or PDAs can even search online from the sidewalk on the day of the event! Call 650-903-6227 (press 1) for further information.  Registration begins March 1 and ends April 16, 2010.

Community Yard Sale (Rengstorff Park) will be held on May 8, 2010 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Rengstorff Park, located at 201 S. Rengstorff near Central Expressway.  Join over 100 vendors in the park for hot food and bargains!  Registration begins March 1 and ends April 16, 2010.
