The City's Community Outreach Program provides information on City services and programs to Mountain View residents, particularly those individuals who might not be reached through the City's traditional communication methods. This program focuses its efforts in reaching out to residents in four languages - English, Spanish, Chinese and Russian - through meetings, special events and via the telephone.
Information available through the City's Community Outreach Program includes:
- City programs and services
- Information on affordable housing
- Information on nonprofit organizations in the area and the services they provide
- Multicultural resources
- Tenant/landlord mediation
- Code enforcement issues
- Low cost health services
The Program's bilingual staff and volunteers meet with nonprofit organizations, PTA and other school groups, businesses, and community groups to give informative presentations on the variety of City services available to the Mountain View community.
Community Outreach staff are available to provide information to you or your group and look forward to the opportunity of serving the community of Mountain View. If you are interested in volunteering for the Community Outreach Program, please contact us. It isn't necessary to be bilingual, but it helps! To schedule a presentation, please email Community Outreach or call 650/903-6145.
