Appointments Review Committee
The Committee meets on an as-needed basis regarding:
- Systematic candidate screens for Board, Commissions and Committees.
- Appointment recommendations to the entire Council.

Environmental Sustainability Committee
A Council ad hoc committee established to review the recommendations from the 68-member citizen Environmental Sustainability Task Force. The Committee will prioritize the Task Force’s 89 recommendations and advise the full Council on how to proceed with implementation. The Committee meeting schedule has not yet been determined. Finance/Investment Review Committee
The Committee meets on an as needed basis regarding:
- Issues of a financial nature or with financial consequences and makes recommendations to the City Council.
- Input about the City's investment portfolio

The Committee meets on an as needed basis regarding:
- High-Speed Rail policy recommendations to the City Council.
- Regional High-Speed Rail issues.
- Exchange information and receive input from the community on High-Speed Rail.

Neighborhoods Committee
The Council Neighborhoods Committee (CNC) oversees programs and activities intended to improve and enhance the City’s neighborhoods.Each year the Committee hosts three to four neighborhood meetings throughout the community to hear comments about neighborhood issues and respond to suggestions for improving City services.
The Committee also is responsible for the City’s Neighborhood Grant Program that provides funding to support the activities and organization of neighborhood groups.The Committee makes recommendations to the City Council on issues referred to them concerning housing, neighborhoods, and similar residential topics.

Procedures Committee
The Committee meets on an as-needed basis regarding issues relating to City Council policies and/or procedures.

Technology Committee
The Committee meets on an as-needed basis regarding studies and recommendations about technology-related policy issues.

Transportation Committee
The Committee generally meets at 6:30 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month in the Plaza Conference Room at City Hall and makes transportation-related policy recommendations to the City Council regarding:
- City-wide transportation planning issues.
- Regional transportation system issues.
- The Neighborhood traffic management program.

- Policy recommendations to the City Council regarding youth-related services.
- Reviews and updates to the City Youth Action Plan.
